The Matt Shirley Official Home Page

Last Updated on 22 February 2010 - MORE BIG NEWS! After getting out of the army, I moved to the Dallas Metroplex to begin my civilian life. In the beginning I worked as an engineer for a food processing equipment company, where I learned some about civilian life and met some friends that I still like to hang around. In 2006 an opportunity to help run a construction company presented itself and I jumped at the chance. I must admit, the professional journey has been strange and not without stumbles and tribulations, but I'm still here almost four years later. The economy for our particular niche is pretty bad so who knows for how much longer it will last, but no matter what happens I have garnered some knowledge on how to run a business, which is valuable no matter what I do from today onward. Also it looks like I need to do some page updates because I've gone and gotten myself married to Kristine Anne Hartz on 17 May 2008. And the really strange thing is that we're expecting our first child in May! We don't know the gender so we'll be surprised when we meet! I checked the page counter and it is 178 views this year, so I apologize for letting everyone down. I will update ASAP, and thanks to all who have checked lately!

This page is designed to display to all interested persons an accurate snapshot of my life. The intent is that those who wish may keep in touch with me and all of my multiple personalities (kidding!) throughout the years. Also, since several of my friends have web sites of their own that showcase their lives, experiences and triumphs, I am jumping on the virtual bandwagon.

That's Me!

If you have any recommendations or notice any problems, please let me know. I am sufficiently both retentive and conscientious enough to heed your advice if it isn't crap.
